Bombing Survivor Jeff Bauman, Fiancée Expecting First Child

BOSTON (CBS) --- Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman and his  fiancée are expecting their first child in July.

The news was included in an article in Parade Magazine, Sunday about Bauman's new book "Stronger" due out next month.

Bauman also took to Facebook to make the announcement.

"We are so happy to share with you exciting news that has happened over the last few months...Jeff and Erin became engaged and are expecting their first child in the summer!!! Congratulations Jeff and Erin!!"

Bauman and Erin Hurley became engaged in February.

Bauman was at the finish line cheering on Hurley on Marathon Monday. He lost both legs in the blast. His rescuer, Carlos Arredondo, is credited with saving Bauman's life. The two have become one of the many faces of "Boston Strong" since the bombing. Authorities say information Bauman provided to them, helped in tracking down the bombing suspects.
