Body Pulled From Boston Harbor Identified As Missing BU Grad

BOSTON (CBS) --- The body pulled from Boston Harbor Wednesday, has been identified as missing Boston University graduate Eric Munsell.

Munsell, 24, has been missing since February 8, when he was asked to leave a Broad Street bar around 11:30 p.m.

The General Electric engineer had been celebrating his birthday.

Police told the family they got a ping from Munsell's cell phone about half an hour after he left the bar. It appeared he was headed in the direction of the harbor, and not toward his North End apartment.

His body was pulled Wednesday from the Long Wharf area.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
