Body Found At Hopkinton Recycling Center

HOPKINTON (CBS) -- Police are investigating after a body was found at a Hopkinton recycling facility.

Hopkinton Police said the body, which was found at 8:40 this morning at the Municipal Recycling Center on Wood Street, was that of a 40-year-old male.

Workers found the body in items that were brought to building 6 at the recycling center, owned by E.L. Harvey and Sons.

"The body was mixed in with items that were brought in to this regional recycling facility," Hopkinton Police Lt. Joseph Bennett said.

Facility owner Doug Harvey was shocked.

"Fortunately all of our people are accounted for and it was not anything internally," Harvey said.

They said it appears the man's body was brought to the facility from an outside community.

Police said identification was found on the man and they are working to confirm if it is accurate.
