Body Discovered In Andover Pond

ANDOVER (CBS) – The body of an 81-year-old man was discovered Friday morning in an Andover pond.

Officers were called just before 8 a.m. to a small pond off Holt Road near the intersection of Orchard Street.

Two men working in the area reported that they found a body on the surface of the pond.

The Essex District Attorney said foul play is not suspected.

Initial investigation shows that an underlying health condition may have been responsible for the man's death.

"On behalf of the entire community, our thoughts and prayers are with the victim's family during this difficult time," Chief Patrick Keefe said.
