BMW, Luxury Boat Seized From NECC Co-Founder

BOSTON (CBS) -- Federal agents have seized a luxury car and boat from a man charged in a 2012 meningitis outbreak that killed 64 people across the country.

The 2011 BMW M3 was taken from Barry Cadden's home in Wrentham, and the luxury boat was seized in North Kingston, Rhode Island, prosecutors said.

Cadden was a co-founder of the New England Compounding Center. In December, he was charged with 25 counts of second-degree murder in connection with the fungal meningitis outbreak blamed on contaminated steroids manufactured by NECC.
