Blizzard Brings Flooding To Scituate, Surrounding Areas

SCITUATE (CBS) - Monday's storm brought moderate flooding to Scituate and surrounding areas.

On Surfside Road, water streamed over garages and through houses. As of 8:00 p.m., Scituate police did not report any damage.

In Humarock, Lisa Chaise chose to brave the high water to her home. She told WBZ, the beautiful summer months are worth the risk in the winter.

"You got to respect the water, and be safe. You got to know when to leave," Chaise said.

By 10:30 p.m., water began flooding back over Old Dock Street. The National Weather Service reported high tide at 11 p.m. with a 2.2 to 2.7 foot storm surge and 17 foot waves.
