Son Arrested After Father Found Dead In Blackstone Home

BLACKSTONE (CBS) – A man who is considered a person of interest in the suspicious death of his 83-year-old father has been arrested in New Jersey.

Police announced Thursday afternoon they were searching for 48-year-old Glenn Armstrong in connection with the death of his father, Walter Armstrong.

Walter Armstrong was found dead inside his Blackstone home on Wednesday night.

Police say Armstrong was arrested in a hotel parking lot Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Initial reports indicate Armstrong was operating a black Chevrolet S10 owned by his father when it ran out of gas in Mount Laurel.

He was arrested on a Massachusetts warrant for failing to submit DNA.

Glenn Armstrong is well known to police. "He has served several sentences in the past," Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early said. "One of those in 1994 for threats to kill President Bill Clinton."

The Worcester County District Attorney's Office is working to bring Armstrong back to Massachusetts.
