Bill Linehan Elected Boston City Council President

BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston City Council elected Bill Linehan of South Boston as its new president Monday.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Bernice Corpuz reports

 

Linehan defeated councilor Ayanna Pressley 8 votes to 5.

Pressley was hoping to become the council's first African-American woman president.
