Big Sisters Gather For Girls In Boston

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Big Sister organization has a profound impact on a lot of young women. On Saturday, they came together to celebrate their efforts.

The group held its Big in Boston gala at the Museum of Fine Arts. Mayor Marty Walsh was the honoree at the event attended by many little and big sisters.

"Ten years ago I thought, this is what I want: that people would gather together in a space like the Museum of Fine Arts, hundreds of people, all supporting the girls of the city I grew up in,'" Deb Re, CEO of the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston, said. "And it's so exciting to see that."
