Skiers, Snowboarders Test 'Big Air' At Fenway Park

BOSTON (CBS) – Skiers and snowboarders made their practice runs down a 140-foot high snow ramp at Fenway Park Wednesday in preparation for a winter event unlike any other.

The "Big Air" competition will host the world's best snowboarders and freestyle skiers in the ballpark on Thursday and Friday.

The snow ramp is taller than the Fenway light towers and stretches from the bleachers to home plate.

"Big Air Snowboarding" will become an Olympic event in 2018.
