Gloucester Man Identified As Driver Killed In Beverly Motorcycle Crash

BEVERLY (AP) — Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash in Beverly as a 30-year-old Gloucester man.

Andrew Lezynski was fatally injured and his passenger seriously hurt when his motorcycle veered into a guardrail on Route 128 around 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Lezynski was thrown off the motorcycle and he was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

His passenger, an unidentified 29-year-old Rockport woman, was sent to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

Investigators say excessive speed may have been a factor.
