Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Triple Stabbing At Beverly Bar

BEVERLY (CBS) -- A man is facing attempted murder charges following a triple stabbing early Sunday morning at a Beverly bar.

Thomas Phillips, 33, of Beverly, was charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The stabbing happened at the Lucky Dog on Cabot Street around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. One of the victims suffered a chest wound and is in serious condition at Beverly Hospital. Police said the other two victims were treated and released.

Phillips was arrested without incident around 2 p.m. Sunday.

He is expected to be arraigned Monday in Salem District Court.
