Bertrand Attacks Shaughnessy Over UMass Article

BOSTON (CBS) -  98.5 The Sports Hub's Marc Bertrand has his biases, but they are very much out in the open.

He's a proud UMass alum and a big fan of their respective athletics teams.

So you can understand why he's upset with Dan Shaughnessy's latest column in the Boston Globe, the one titled 'UMass Making Big Mistake With John Calipari Honor.'

Calipari, now the head coach of the undefeated Kentucky Wildcats, started his college head coaching career in Amherst at the University of Massachusetts. His 1995-96 Minutemen team advanced to the NCAA Final Four, but they were later stripped of that honor after it was learned Marcus Camby accepted cash and gifts from an agent.

Bertrand has beefed with the Boston Globe before for their perceived UMass bias, and this Shaughnessy article just put his anger over the top.

Shaughnessy joined Zolak & Bertrand in studio Tuesday for a discussion that quickly turned into an argument, with both parties refusing to back down.
