Ben Roethlisberger Officially Ruled Out Vs. Patriots

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Patriots don't have to worry about Ben Roethlisberger this weekend when they take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced Tuesday that his All Pro quarterback is out for Sunday's game, meaning Landry Jones will be under center against New England.

Roethlisberger underwent surgery on Monday after he suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee during Pittsburgh's Week 6 loss to the Miami Dolphins. "Big Ben" did return after the injury, finishing the game 15-for-26 with a touchdown and an interception.

Jones has played in 11 games over his three-year career, completing 32 of his 56 pass attempts with three touchdowns and four interceptions. He started two games in place of an injured Roethlisberger in 2015, with the Steelers going 1-1 in those contests.
