Babysitter Says Hernandez Brought Her To Franklin 'Flop House'

FALL RIVER (CBS) - Aaron Hernandez's babysitter says he ignored her pleas to let her go home, took her to a mysterious spot, and tried to kiss her.

Jennifer Fortier regularly worked for Hernandez and his fiancee Shayanna Jenkins, taking care of their baby daughter. Monday, she took the witness stand and told the jury about an early morning when she and a friend ran into the then-Patriots star after a night out in Boston. He offered them a ride to their parked car, but got on the highway instead.

"I kept telling him I had to leave because I was a babysitter and I was uncomfortable," said Fortier. She said Odin Lloyd was also in the car. The only clue she got about where they were headed was, "to the spot," she said.

She found out that was a Franklin apartment Hernandez rented, which investigators later called a "flop house." She said he called her into a bedroom. "He kissed me and I pushed him away and told him no. I'm your nanny. I can't do this."

She said he assured her it was OK, that he understood and wasn't mad. She and her friend took a cab back to their car parked in Boston.

The next day, surveillance shows Hernandez greeting Fortier when she came to babysit. It was the night before Lloyd's murder, and Hernandez and Jenkins were headed for a Father's Day night out. Video shows him light up and take several drags while waiting for Jenkins.

When they were gone, his two alleged accomplices arrived at his home at around midnight, Ernest Wallace and Carlos Ortiz. When Hernandez returned, he's seen on video carrying what looks like a gun. The others around him seem oblivious.

Minutes later, he picked up his daughter and shared an affectionate moment with her. Then he, Wallace, and Ortiz drove off in a silver Nissan rental. About two hours later, Odin Lloyd was shot to death.
