Authorities Identify Bodies In Framingham Murder-Suicide

WOBURN (CBS) - Authorities have identified the two bodies in a Framingham murder-suicide as 31-year-old Michelle Batista and 27-year-old Allen Murphy.

Batista and Murphy were found dead on Wednesday inside their apartment on Second Street.

A medical examiner has ruled the death of Batista a homicide and the death of Murphy a suicide, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said in a statement.

"These parties were in a dating relationship," she said. "While we have limited information at this time about the history of the relationship, we consider this to be a case of domestic violence. Our thoughts are with families of the deceased.

"This case demonstrates how abuse in an intimate partner relationship can escalate. We encourage anyone experiencing domestic violence to reach out to a local domestic violence program which can offer counseling, support, and advocacy services."

Framingham and State Police officers are investigating the incident.
