Police Raffling Off Muscle Car To Benefit Slain Auburn Officer's Family

AUBURN (CBS) – A new muscle car is being raffled off by the Auburn Police Association as a way to raise money from the family of Officer Ronald Tarentino, who was killed in the line of duty in May.

Raffle tickets cost $50 apiece and 2,000 tickets will be sold.

The winner will receive a 2016 Ford Mustang GT California Special.

Anyone interested in purchasing a raffle ticket can contact Officer Keith Chipman for more information at (508) 832-7780.

Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Auburn Police Department. Ayer Police are also selling tickets.

The winner cannot be a family member of anyone in the Auburn Police Association or Auburn Police Department.

Tarentino was shot and killed by Jorge Zambrano during a traffic stop on May 22. Zambrano was eventually killed in a shootout with police inside an Oxford duplex.
