Driver, Victim Identified In Fatal Attleboro OUI Crash

ATTLEBORO (CBS) -- One man was in custody early Saturday morning after police say he drunkenly drove his car into a taxi, killing a man who was a passenger inside.

Michael Spinale, 41 of Roslindale, was charged with motor vehicle homicide, OUI liquor, negligent operation, speeding, failure to use care in stopping, and failure to stay within marked lanes.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. just before Exit 2 on Route 95 in Attleboro.

Attleboro Police say Spinale was drunk and speeding, and is also facing additional motor vehicle charges.

They said he drove his Kia Candenza into the rear of a Toyota Camry taxi cab.

The passenger in the cab, 39-year-old Kailish Bolar of Warwick, Rhode Island, was killed.

The cab's driver, a 50-year-old Brockton man, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with minor injuries.

Spinale is currently being held at the Foxboro State Police Barracks pending $10,000 bail.

He is due to be arraigned Monday in Attleboro District Court.
