No Arrests Made In Attleboro Stabbing That Left Woman Dead

ATTLEBORO (CBS/AP) — One woman was killed and another was injured in a double stabbing in Attleboro, authorities said.

Kimberly Duphily, 28, of Attleboro was found "bleeding profusely" in a city home at about 4 p.m. Friday, the Bristol district attorney's office said in a statement.

She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The second victim, a 20-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries. She was treated and released at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. No name or condition was released.

Initially, police told The Sun Chronicle they had a "person of interest" in custody. But Saturday afternoon, Bristol District Attorney Thomas Quinn's office said that there is not a person of interest in custody at this time.

Police had responded to the scene after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting "a commotion," authorities said.

The death was the first homicide in Attleboro since December 2017, The Sun Chronicle reported.
