Teen Arrested In Connection To Burning Body Found In Attleboro

ATTLEBORO (CBS) - A 17-year-old from Cranston, RI has been arrested in the murder of a man whose body was found burning on the side of a road in a quiet neighborhood early Tuesday morning.

Police say the teen, who has not been identified, shot 24-year-old Valdez Loiseau at a home in Cranston.

Loiseau was dating the suspect's mother. The teen told police he shot Loiseau because he was fighting with his mother, 35-year-old Melonie Perez.

Police say after the killing, Perez and her son drove the body to Attleboro and set it on fire.

Perez and a second woman, 18-year-old Samantha Rastella, were arrested for failing to report the crime.
