ATMs Will Be Banned From Mass. Casinos

BOSTON (CBS) – ATMs will be banned from gaming floors when casinos open in Massachusetts.

The ban was part of the regulations passed in the first casino law.

On Christmas Eve, lawmakers lifted the ban that kept ATMs at a good distance from gamblers.

Critics slammed the decision, and on Wednesday, both the House and Senate reinstated the ban.

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission has issued licenses to Wynn Resorts for a casino in Everett, MGM Resorts for a project in downtown Springfield and Penn National Gaming for a slot parlor in Plainville.
