Ashland Hit-And-Run Driver Takes Out Hydrant, Impacting Water Service

ASHLAND (CBS) – Residents in Ashland finally got their water back after a hit-and-run driver took out a fire hydrants early Sunday morning.

Police believe the driver hit a hydrant on Summer Street then fled the area sometime overnight.

People first called to report street flooding around 6 a.m.

Crews had to drain the system to make repairs, and worked to return water service into late Sunday night.
