Arrest Made In January Stabbing Of Aspiring Rapper

BOSTON (AP) — Police have made an arrest in the January stabbing death of a father of two and aspiring rapper.

The Suffolk district attorney's office says Richardson Robert is scheduled to be arraigned Monday on a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of Charles Floyd.

The 28-year-old Floyd's body was found Jan. 26 by snowplow operators about to plow a parking lot on Shetland Street in the city's Roxbury section.

Robert was arrested Friday. Authorities did not reveal a motive for the stabbing.

It's unclear if the suspect has a lawyer.

Floyd's family previously told The Boston Globe that he was dedicated to his two young children and his rap career had just started to take off.
