Arrest Made In Barre Road Rage Case

BARRE (CBS) – An arrest has been made in a violent case of road rage in Barre.

Police say they have caught the suspect who allegedly attacked a 71-year-old man on Saturday.

Investigators say 25-year-old Ryan Kobus of Leominster got into a confrontation with the older man because he was driving too slow.

Surveillance video allegedly shows Kobus tailgating the victim and his family. The 71-year-old man was pulled from his vehicle on the side of the road and hit several times in the face, "causing potentially serious injuries."

The video led to numerous tips, which led to the arrest in Leominster Wednesday.

Kobus is being charged with Assault & Battery on a Person over 60 with Serious Injury, Malicious Destruction of Property over $250 and Disorderly Conduct.
