Arrest Made In Alleged North End Assault

BOSTON (CBS) – A Fall River man was arrested late Saturday night in connection with an alleged assault in Boston's North End earlier in the day.

Boston police announced on Sunday that Nieto Wagner, 36, of Fall River, was arrested and charged with indecent assault.

Officers were called to Tileston and Wiggins Streets on Saturday at about 2:45 a.m. when a woman said she was assaulted.

The woman said she noticed she was being followed. When she turned around the woman had a brief conversation with a man before he grabbed her and ran off.

Police searched the area at the time, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Wagner is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on Monday.
