Andover Teens Create Holiday Magic For Kids In Need

ANDOVER (CBS) – Many children are going to have a better holiday this year, thanks to five Andover teens.

Billy Cleary and his four friends met in middle school. They have been raking leaves over the past few months, but instead of pocketing, they decided to help out a local toy drive. Cleary said the goal was to "help out other people who are less fortunate."

"We tried to get a business together just to earn extra cash. We were like, Christmas is around the corner; we might as well do this all for charity and give it away to those who need it," said Andover teen Ethan Olivo

They earned $3,000, and every penny went to buy toys, games, footballs and basketballs for children this holiday season.

On Friday, the teens loaded up a truck to deliver the holiday goods. The teens said they hope to do the same thing next year.
