Alleged Robber Takes Nap While Waiting For Cops

BOSTON (CBS) -- An alleged robber found himself locked in a room of a Dorchester home he broke into Thursday night. So, according to Boston Police, he decided to curl up on a couch and take a nap.

Police were called to a home on Greenwich Street around 4:00a.m. on Thursday after a women reported that someone had broken into her house and was still there. The woman told police the man was in her son's room so she used a chain and padlock to lock him in.

When officers arrived, they knocked on the locked door and did not hear a response. According to police, the officers opened the door and found the man lying on a couch sleeping.

Police arrested the man, identified as 27-year-old Rene Nguyen of Dorchester and charged him with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime and Resisting Arrest.
