Man Charged With Esplanade Assaults Held Without Bail

BOSTON (CBS) – A man serving prison time after pleading guilty to raping an Uber passenger is now charged with a string of violent Boston rapes from 2006 to 2010.

Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley said on Friday that Alejandro Done now faces two counts each of rape, aggravated rape, kidnapping, assault with intent to rape and one charge of armed robbery.

The charges stem from four assaults in South Boston and the Esplanade.

Done is currently serving 12 to 14 years in jail for the rape of a female passenger while he was an Uber driver.

In July, Conley announced that DNA from the case also linked Done to the South Boston and Esplanade attacks.

During a Friday arraignment a judge ordered Done be held without bail.

Done is next scheduled to be in court on Nov. 20.
