AG's Office Offers Compensation Funds To NECC Victims
BOSTON (CBS) -- A $40 million special victims fund has been created for individuals who affected by contaminated steroid injections from the now defunct New England Compounding Center.
In 2014, tainted injections the Framingham-based compounding pharmacy, killed 76 people and sickened more than 700 others nationwide.
Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey's office is administering the fund and is handling applications. The fund is designated for individuals who have been identified by the FBI or the U.S. Attorney's Office as victims.
