Witnesses In Aaron Hernandez Trial Say They Heard Loud Bangs

FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — Two witnesses in the murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez have testified about hearing several loud bangs around the time of the killing.

Hernandez is accused of killing Odin Lloyd on the morning of June 17, 2013. His body was found in an industrial park near Hernandez's home.

In testimony Monday, two people who worked the night shift in the industrial park testified they were sitting in their cars after 3 a.m. and heard several loud bangs. Both thought it was fireworks.

Also Monday, the judge reversed an earlier decision and now says the prosecutor can ask Lloyd's sister about text messages sent in the final minutes of his life. She said he can't ask about what was said or how the sister reacted to them.
