Adam Jones Recaps "Behind the B" Premiere's Glossing Over of Disappointing Season

"So, yeah. Not the postseason the Boston Bruins or their fans were looking for."

That's the opening line from narrator Denis Leary in the season premiere of Behind the B as the Bruins get ready for the 2015-16 season. The episode focused mostly on the Bruins' offseason and the new players they drafted and brought to the team's development camp - and besides a few audio clips at the beginning devoted no screen time to the disastrous ending to the Bruins' season, which culminated with the firing of GM Peter Chiarelli.

Adam Jones and Rich Keefe didn't watch the premiere, but that's not going to stop them from having takes. The guys played around with Leary's opening line and questioned whether they're even going to watch it, considering there's nothing about Chiarelli or the end of last season.

It's clearly an "on to Cincinnati" situation with the Bruins, putting the disappointment of last season behind them and focusing on the new season and new talent on board, and Behind the B is a clear reflection of that.

If you're looking for a Dougie Hamilton smear campaign or a biting commentary on what went wrong with Chiarelli, you'll be disappointed. Don Sweeney is essentially the start of the premiere, as the episode follows him working on the draft and meeting new players.
