Adam Jones' Day After Takeaways: Win Over Broncos A True Measuring Stick For Patriots
BOSTON (CBS) -- The day after every Patriots game, 98.5 The Sports Hub's Adam Jones shares some thoughts via Twitter after giving the game a second viewing.
Here are Jones' takeaways from New England's 43-21 win over the Denver Broncos:
Collins was active throughout the game. Easily the best game he's played this season (only real negative was an obvious pass interference).

- Collins led the way for New England with 11 total tackles.
Revis was also excellent. Was hurt on Broncos first TD drive (Sanders 17, Sanders 21 and D. Thomas 18). Otherwise, rarely thrown at.

Manning got the best of Ninkovich on the play right before his INT (Welker for 12-yards). No excuse for Manning not seeing him on next play.

Penalties also hurt Manning. A delay of game on opening drive (3rd & 7) and an illegal formation on first play after INT to name a few.

Butler certainly gave up plays, but thought he was competitive despite tough assignment on Emmanuel Sanders.
— Hockey Jones ???????????? (@adamjones985) November 3, 2014
- Butler, an undrafted rookie, finished with four tackles and pass deflection in Sunday's win.
Some are pinning Brady's interception on Amendola. That's tough, in my opinion, since it was a high throw that resulted in tipped pass.
— Hockey Jones ???????????? (@adamjones985) November 3, 2014
- The interception was Brady's first since New England's Week 4 loss in Kansas City.
Thought Brady's best throw may have been a 21-yard strike to Amendola (3rd & 8). Moved well in pocket to keep play alive.

Brady's mobility in the pocket and Gronk's return to health are arguably the two biggest differences since opening month.

Chung gave up 18-yard TD to Julius Thomas, but like rest of the secondary I thought he played well. A couple of big breakups late.
— Hockey Jones ???????????? (@adamjones985) November 3, 2014
- Chung had eight total tackles and led the Patriots with three pass deflections in Sunday's win.
Not LaFell's best day -- especially given Sanders production on other side -- but he still made some plays. Needs to clean up drops though.
— Hockey Jones ???????????? (@adamjones985) November 3, 2014
- LaFell caught six passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. Brady threw his way a team-high 13 times on Sunday.
Gronk's highlight reel catch will get the attention -- rightfully so -- but his 15-yard catch-and-run in the third was also impressive.

The best part of the win was that the weather didn't play as big a factor as initially expected. True measuring stick game. No asterisk.
