What Would The Celtics Do With The No. 1 Pick In The NBA Draft?

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Boston Celtics have had abysmal luck in the NBA Draft lottery with their most recent chances to land a top pick. Are they due for the ping pong balls to bounce their way in 2016?

Adam Jones and Rich Keefe once again ran an NBA Draft simulator live on the air to talk about the Celtics' plans at wherever they landed. Lo and behold, the Celtics got the No. 1 pick this time, as Jones & Keefe howled with excitement.

So, if the Celtics do end up at the top of the draft, who do they pick? While Keefe believes the Celtics should ultimately trade the pick to get a star player like Jimmy Butler, Paul George, or Blake Griffin, if they do take a player both he and Jones say the team should pick Duke forward Brandon Ingram over presumptive No. 1 pick Ben Simmons out of LSU.

Keefe, in particular, thinks Ingram's skill set is a better fit for the Celtics' needs on the roster, though he may not have as much upside as Simmons.

"I like Ben Simmons more than anybody else in the draft - in a vacuum," Keefe said. "But, for the Celtics, Brandon Ingram makes way more sense. I need a guy who can score. I need a guy who can shoot a little bit."
