Actresses Talk About Their Tony-Nominated Roles

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two Oscar nominees and a past Tony Award winner are among the five women nominated for this year's Tony for best performance by an actress in a featured role in a play.

CBS New York's Dana Tyler interviewed the five nominees about the roles that could bring them the ultimate Broadway honor. The nominees are Mare Winningham ("Casa Valentina"), Sophie Okonedo ("A Raisin in the Sun"), Anika Noni Rose ("A Raisin in the Sun"), Sarah Greene ("The Cripple of Inishmaan") and Celia Keenan-Bolger ("The Glass Menagerie").

Winningham was nominated for the Academy Award for best supporting actress for the 1995 film "Georgia." Okonedo was nominated in the same category for 2004's "Hotel Rwanda."

Rose won a Tony for best featured actress in a musical for 2004's "Caroline, or Change."

"The 68th Annual Tony Awards," hosted by Hugh Jackman, will be broadcast from Radio City Music Hall June 8th at 8pm ET/PT on CBS.
