Husband Charged With Drunk Driving In Acton Crash That Killed Wife

ACTON (CBS) – The survivor of a fatal crash in Acton earlier this week has been charged with drunk driving and motor vehicle homicide.

Deeiyvid Hoepers, 35, was arrested at his home in Lowell Wednesday evening. He was held overnight at the Acton Police Department on $20,000 cash bail.

Police say Hoepers was driving drunk when his 2008 Saturn ran off Central Street early Tuesday morning, hit a wall and a utility pole before ending up against a car in a driveway.

His wife was passenger in the car. Shannon Milhomme-Hoepers, 39, was rushed to Emerson Hospital where she died.

Hoepers was taken to Boston Medical Center on a medical rescue helicopter with serious injuries.

He will be arraigned Thursday in Concord District Court on several charges, including motor vehicle homicide OUI liquor, OUI liquor second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation.
