Aaron Hernandez Double Murder Trial Postponed

BOSTON (CBS) – A Suffolk Superior Court judge has postponed the double murder trial of Aaron Hernandez.

Prosecutors and defense lawyers had asked for a delay in the case involving the 2012 killings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado. Jury selection was set to begin on Jan. 19, but a status hearing will now be held on that date instead.

An updated trial date hasn't been set.

Earlier this year, Hernandez was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Odin Lloyd.
