8-Month-Old Killed In Mansfield Crash

MANSFIELD (CBS) – An infant died from injuries suffered in a Wednesday crash, Mansfield police said.

Mansfield police said several people called 911 to report a crash just after 3:30 p.m. on Eastman Street.

A woman and her 8-month-old child were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, and the infant was eventually air lifted to Boston Children's Hospital with internal injuries.

Despite medical treatment, the infant did not survive.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the victim," Mansfield police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
