3-Year-Old Girl Killed In Crash On Route 24 In Randolph

RANDOLPH (CBS) — A 3-year-old girl was killed in a crash involving a car and a pickup truck in Randolph Wednesday evening.

A 2000 Toyota Corolla and a 2003 Chevrolet S10 pick up truck collided just before 6 p.m. on Route 24 north, south of Route 93.

State police say the girl was a passenger in the Toyota driven by Phania Michel, 20, of Randolph. She and another passenger, Jeannecker Vertil, 35, of Randolph were not seriously hurt.

The 3-year-old was rushed to Boston Medical Center, where she died. Her name was not released.

The driver of the pickup truck, Mary Lynch, 50, of Hyde Park, was taken to Milton Hospital to be treated for what police say were "non-incapacitating" injuries.

No charges have been filed at this point in the investigation.
