3 Men Arrested In Murder Of Charlestown Teen

BOSTON (CBS) – Three men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Charlestown teenager.

Investigators say it appears Ryan Morrissey was never the intended target, and it was a case of mistaken identity.

In early November, Morrissey and a friend were hanging out outside a convenience store on Main Street when police say two men in hoodies approached them, shot them and ran to a waiting car.

Morrissey died four days later. His friend eventually recovered.

On Wednesday, 24-year-old Julio Baez of Charlestown was arraigned on murder charges and ordered held without bail.

Shortly after the arraignment, police arrested 21-year-old Danilo Soto of Dorchester and charged him in the murder. The third suspect, a 17-year-old from Charlestown, is already in custody being held on charges in a separate incident.
