3 Hurt As Car Nearly Runs Off Route 190 Overpass
WORCESTER (CBS) – Three people were seriously hurt when a car flipped and nearly went off an overpass in Worcester Friday.
The car was travelling on Route 190 south around 10:30 a.m. when it rolled over near exit 1.
"The vehicle ended up on its roof, on the railing at the edge of the bridge, with a small portion of the car extending from the edge of the overpass over the roadway below.," State Police said in a statement.
All three people in the car were rushed to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Their names and conditions have not been made public.
It's not clear yet what caused the crash.
No other details are available at this point in the investigation.
