3 Arrested After Wellesley Bank Robbery

WELLESLEY (CBS) -- Three people were arrested after police said they robbed a Wellesley bank Wednesday afternoon.

A 23-year-old man, an 18-year-0ld man, and a juvenile were in custody Wednesday, according to police. They said two were caught on foot, and one was caught in a car.

Wellesley Police said the robbery happened around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday at a TD Bank on Washington Street.

According to police, one of the suspects showed a note to a teller, and no weapons were used in the robbery. The man took an undisclosed amount of money and fled via a foot path behind the bank.

Police said two people who matched the description of the suspect were found in the area, detained, and later arrested. A third male found in a nearby car was arrested. Police said the men were on their way to a getaway car.

A Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit assisted in searching the area for the robbery suspects.

The robbery is under investigation, and more information was not yet available.
