4 people stabbed in fights at Brockton High School, hospital

BROCKTON - Three people were hospitalized after they were stabbed during an altercation Friday afternoon outside Brockton High School. The suspect in that incident was later stabbed during a fight at a hospital.

A spokesperson for the school district said the altercation happened at the school's softball field after dismissal. Police said two teens were taken to the hospital with stab wounds and are both expected to be OK. A third victim later checked himself into the hospital.

"It was right after school, you know, everybody going out to take the bus. I had practice so I had to go straight to the gym," said one high school senior. "But we just heard helicopters, cops, firefighters, everybody, ambulances and stuff."

Less than an hour later, police said there was another fight at Good Samaritan Hospital, and the suspect in the incident at the high school was stabbed.

Five people have been charged in connection with the incidents at the hospital and high school.
