2 Girls In 'Life-Threatening' Condition After Being Pulled From Yarmouth Hotel Pool

YARMOUTH (CBS) – Two young sisters are fighting to survive after they were pulled from the bottom of a pool at a hotel on the Cape.

The girls, who are 12 and nine years old, were found unresponsive at the bottom of the eight-foot deep section of the pool at the Bayside Resort in Yarmouth Wednesday night.

They were pulled out of the water by motel guests and relatives.

Guests performed CPR until Yarmouth Police and firefighters arrived.

The children were then rushed to Boston Children's Hospital.

In a brief update Thursday, Yarmouth Police said the girls are both in "life-threatening condition."

Their names have not been released.

The family is from New York and were guests at the hotel, according to authorities.

The girls were being supervised by an uncle at the time of the incident.
