Fight On School Bus In Boston Sends Child, 2 Police Officers To Hospital

BOSTON (CBS) -- A fight on a school bus in Boston sent multiple people to the hospital Friday morning. It happened on Centre Street in Jamacia Plain.

According to Boston Schools, three students got in a "physical altercation aboard a school bus transporting McKinley School students to the summer learning program at Orchard Gardens School."

The bus driver pulled over and police and EMS responded.

One student, two Boston Police officers, the bus driver, and the bus monitor were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

All of the other students were evaluated and taken to school on a different bus.

Police are investigating the incident. No other information is available at this time.

"BPS has been in contact with the families of all students on the bus. Violence of any kind is not tolerated in the Boston Public Schools. Our buses are an extension of our classrooms," said a statement from the school district.
