18-Inch Alligator Seized In Saugus

SAUGUS (CBS) -- An 18-inch alligator in a fish tank near a Saugus playground was seized by police on Friday.

Police responded to Golden Hill Road at about 3:30 p.m. after a woman reported finding the small American alligator in an aquarium tank in someone's driveway.

Environmental police seized the alligator and will turn the animal over to a licensed rehabilitator for treatment and relocate it back to the southern part of the country.
