Students Transported To Hospital After School Bus Crash In Plymouth

PLYMOUTH (CBS) - Several students were transported to the hospital after a school bus crash in Plymouth Thursday afternoon.

Police say the bus crashed into a car on Carver Road at about 3:45pm. Both vehicles were traveling at a low rate of speed.

Plymouth's fire chief says seven students were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Seven other students were taken to the hospital by their parents. The students who were injured had bumps and bruises, but were mostly scared, according to fire officials.

A silver two-door car with front end damage was towed from the scene. The driver of the car involved in the crash was also taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

There were approximately 30 elementary school students on board the bus at the time.

The crash is under investigation.
