11-Year-Old Arizona Girl Set To Attend Harvard

BOSTON (CBS) – She isn't old enough to drive or vote. But this fall, Ria Cheruvu will be inside the classrooms of Harvard University.

Cheruvu, an Arizona resident, is a child prodigy who graduated at the top of her high school class this year at just 11 years old.

Her mother knew Cheruvu was smart at only nine months old, and at age seven she was placed into accelerated programs.

This fall Cheruvu plans to attend classes in neruo-biology, learning how the brain works.

"People ask me, like, how are you going to cope with kids, you know, that are bigger than you?," said Cheruvu. " It's just that, I just want to interact with brains that are just like mine and share my thoughts."
