1 Killed, 1 Injured After Motorcycle Collides With Vehicle In Wrentham

WRENTHAM (AP) — A Rhode Island man was killed and another person seriously injured after a motorcycle collided with a vehicle.

Massachusetts State Police say they responded to the crash just after 2 p.m. Saturday on Route 1 in Wrentham.

Police say a 46-year-old Mansfield man was traveling westbound on Thurston Street when he turned onto Route 1 and collided with the motorcycle being operated by 35-year-old Joseph Carpentier, of Woonsocket.

Carpentier was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Carpentier's 15-year-old passenger was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

The Mansfield man and his three passengers were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
