1 Dead In Williamsburg Crash

WILLIAMSBURG (AP) -- Authorities say a passenger has died in a single-car crash in Williamsburg.

Twenty-five-year-old Tomas Q. Clark of Florence was riding in a car that crashed on Route 9 after the driver lost control at about 3 a.m. Sunday.

The Northwestern District Attorney's Office says it appears the driver was speeding and then entered a curve before the car hit a pole on the passenger's side. The driver and passenger were both taken to a hospital.

The driver has not been identified and his condition was not immediately known.

The collision is being investigated.
