Zach Britton: The American League's Favorite Closer

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Orioles closer Zach Britton offered up his lockdown services on Tuesday night and this time it was for the American League.

Zach Britton had his 100th career save on Sunday afternoon to cap off the first half of the season and after last night's All-Star games, he's a perfect 27-for-27 in the regular season and 1-for-1 in the ASG.

Britton helped assure that the eventual AL champion will have home-field advantage in the World Series.

Despite allowing a leadoff hit to Daniel Murphy, left-hander Britton recorded the first All-Star Game save by an Orioles pitcher since Don Aase closed out the 1986 game at the Astrodome.
